Setting Intentions Instead of Resolutions
Why I choose guiding words over strict goals at the start of each year.

Resolutions often fail because they focus on rules. Intentions focus on who you want to become — and that shift changes everything.
Each January I choose a few words to guide my year. Instead of “work less,” I might choose “presence.” Instead of “grow revenue,” I might choose “focus.”
These words become a filter for decisions. When an opportunity comes up, I ask whether it supports the intention I set.
Intentions are gentle but powerful. They leave room for life to change while keeping you connected to what matters.
