Lessons From Building a Team

What I’ve learned about hiring, trust and leading people well.

No business I’ve built has succeeded because of me alone. The right people have made all the difference.

I hire for character first and skill second. Skills can be taught; integrity, curiosity and kindness are much harder to train.

Trust is built through clarity. When people understand the goal and what success looks like, they can do their best work without being micromanaged.

Most importantly, I try to lead the way I want to be led — with respect, honesty and genuine care for each person’s growth.
